Kingdom Community Development Center Initiatives
Crib to College
Kingdom CDC (Crib to College) seeks to offer the guidance and resources necessary to improve the level of education and social skills of young people beginning at an early age. The desire is to improve the skill level and educational level of youth to create a greater future level of educable and employable skills and assets. The project is designed to provide guidance throughout the program and monitor the level of success through tracking of educational success at each level as well as the tracking of social growth and maturation.
Quality of Life
Kingdom CDC (Quality of Life) seeks to connect with children and adults to improve their quality of life by helping individuals assess current situations, develop plans for educational, career, or lifestyle changes, and successfully follow a plan that will achieve the desired goals.
This is designed to be consistent with the goals of Crib to College, with a focus on those who have reached adult age.
Successful Reintegration
Kingdom CDC (Successful Reintegration) seeks to identify those individuals who struggle with employment or the ability to sustain an acceptable quality of life due to circumstances of life. Circumstantial examples include but are not limited to previous military deployment, previous incarceration or legal issues, educational, physical or mental health issues, or geographical or logistical limitations. The objective is to provide guidance towards overcoming surmountable issues and to provide or attain guidance towards assistance in insurmountable situations.
Business & Marketing
Kingdom CDC (Business & Marketing) leans on many years of business and marketing experience to assist those who have a business or business idea, to establish effective and efficient methods of operation or to start and scale new businesses with the tools needed for long term success. The objective is to promote professionalism, financial security, and community involvement among the business community and development relationships between businesses and the citizens that are being served.
Causes/Events
Each Summer, Kingdom CDC will host the Kingdom Track & Field Classic to support our youth activity and to promote awareness and activity among our youth. The inaugural event was held in July of 2023.
The T. Sanders Track & Field Invitational. The 2015-2022 T. Sanders Invitationals were held as high school events. Plans are being made to continue this event in 2025. This event will support two annual scholarships (one male/one female) in honor and memory of Coach Trent Sanders, former Franklinton High School Track & Field Coach.
In October of each year, the Ben Snelling Cancer Classic is held at Owens Park in Louisburg, NC. The inaugural event was held in October of 2019. Kingdom CDC has partnered with the Jimmy V. Foundation to which 100% of the profits from this event are donated for cancer research.
